To generate maximum profit through our small organization of highly qualified individuals, it is imperative that we establish a robust organizational foundation. To that end, we are working to codify the tacit knowledge of each highly specialized business division, bolster our efficiency, pass on know-how, and create systems for facilitating appropriate collaboration between business divisions. We are also taking steps to organize the business process- related issues in each division and have commenced efforts to enhance productivity using IT and to facilitate the accumulation and utilization of intellectual capital.

Creating Environments That Enhance Employee Motivation and Ensure That Employees Can Work in Good Mental and Physical Health

We are engaged in ongoing efforts to enable diverse personnel to work with vitality and enthusiasm, including a flextime system, a shared-desk system in a spacious office environment, the promotion of remote working, and encouragement of side jobs. By enhancing our system infrastructure and advancing paperless operations, we have established a framework that combines flextime and remote work to maintain business continuity and support high performance. We believe that creating an even more comfortable and flexible work environment not only enhances employee engagement but also directly contributes to attracting and developing top talent, fostering a strong collective of highly capable individuals, and ultimately improving overall organizational performance.

Health Management

In order for our employees to maintain peak performance, it is vital that they be in good physical and mental health. Therefore, we have various measures to support such.

In March 2025, JAFCO was recognized in the 2025 Certified Health & Productivity Management Outstanding Organizations Recognition Program (Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Category) hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and Nippon Kenko Kaigi. This marks our second consecutive year of certification since 2024.

With regard to personnel systems, we have established childcare and nursing care leave programs and actively encourage employees to take childcare leave and paternity leave. As a result, we are building a track record of employees utilizing extended childcare leave.

※In July 2022 we made a Health Declaration to the National Federation of Health Insurance Societies, leading to our achievement of an Excellent Health Company Silver Certification in April 2023. This recognition underscores our ongoing commitment to health management and promotion initiatives.

Since its founding in 1973, JAFCO has operated with the mindset of an industry leader. Guided by our Purpose—“Fueling perpetual growth; investing in bold visions”—and our Values, we have engaged in ongoing efforts to foster a culture that instills our enduring strengths among our employees. Our hiring of new graduates and active recruitment of mid-career hires in recent years have brought together employees with diverse backgrounds who have demonstrated their individual abilities.

Our organization is becoming more diverse as the percentage of mid-career hires increases and workstyles become more flexible. While we celebrate this increase in diversity, we also recognize the need to reinforce the corporate culture we have valued over many years.

Through our efforts to embed our Values, which we updated in 2023, we are working to pass down to the next generation the mindset and source of strengths that we have valued over the years, through initiatives such as internal newsletters and interviews with employees. Furthermore, as we are a registered financial instruments business operator, our culture must stress the importance of adhering to rules and regulations. We therefore take measures to bolster our compliance, including holding multiple training sessions on fiduciary duty.

We are driving forward numerous initiatives to help all employees perform at a high level by exposing them to and reaffirming the values and strengths that we have cultivated over the past 50 years.
