James is a deeply proud native of Buffalo, New York, and has been in Asia for nearly fifteen years with over ten of them being in Japan. James joined JAFCO in 2023, focusing on buyout investment and overseas LP fundraising. His prior work experience spans private equity investment, corporate M&A, real estate acquisitions/development, and fundraising across a variety of sectors and asset classes. He has master’s degrees in mathematics and economics, as well as in real estate investment from Columbia University.
