Naohiro Furuya graduated from the College of Economics at Rikkyo University and joined JAFCO in April 1991. After working in the Investment Division, he was seconded to NOMURA/JAFCO INVESTMENT (ASIA) and experienced investing in advanced startups in Asia. He then worked in the Asia team of the Business Development Division, promoting business development between portfolio companies in Asia and major corporations in Japan, and serving as a team leader and general manager. He has been a member of the Fund Management Division since September 2023. He is in charge of fund solicitation and investor relations for fund investors, particularly focusing on building relationships between domestic investors and portfolio companies with a view to strategic alliances.
I believe that co-creating the new value generated by portfolio startups with our fund investors and various stakeholders is what realizes the Company's Purpose. Guided by this belief, I engage in my daily work. Outside of work, I enjoy connecting with nature and various activities, and overall, I consider myself an outdoors person.
