After graduating from the School of Commerce at Waseda University, Hitoshi Sawamoto joined JAFCO in April 1992. He worked in investment, information management, and reporting and then was in charge of the Company's fund procurement, mainly for financial institutions, at the then Finance Division. Since 2002, he has belonged to the Fund Management Division. Since the establishment of G-9 in the same year, he has been in charge of fundraising for all core funds and investor relations for fund investors and has been engaged in building relationships with and responding to various financial institutions such as mega-banks, regional banks, and life and non-life insurance companies.
Our funds are based on long-term operations and do not guarantee performance. Since it takes time to see results and there may be periods of temporary losses, I recognize that investment decisions are not easy. Even so, there are those who, understanding these characteristics, consider and promote investing in our funds as part of their medium- to long-term perspective, new initiatives, or asset management. I have focused on building trust with such investors and, as a bridge connecting internal and external stakeholders, carefully communicating the significance of our funds. Going forward, I will continue to strive to be a trusted partner for investors through transparent information disclosure and sincere engagement.
