Gento Makino joined JAFCO in April 2022 after graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University and earning a Bachelor of Science in International Economics and Management (BIEM) at Bocconi University. He is in charge of sourcing portfolio companies, executing investments, and providing post-investment support for primarily seed- and early-stage startups at the Investment Division. He also engages in funding operations mainly for overseas investors.
I have a wide range of interests, from entertainment to AI and cybersecurity. My motto is: “the important things are invisible.” I aim to invest while thoroughly considering what is truly essential. My hobby is kickboxing.
