Masahiro Izumi joined JAFCO in April 1987. After working in research and screening for 12 years, he joined the Investment Division in 1999, where he spent 10 years sourcing portfolio companies, executing investments, and providing post-investment support. He was also in charge of investments in university ventures. He has been a member of the research team of the Investment Division since 2008. He is engaged in due diligence work for potential portfolio companies in a wide range of fields centering on deep tech, life science, healthcare services, as well as IT.
My role is to deepen understanding of the technology, markets, and management teams of promising companies while engaging daily with diverse fields such as deep tech and life sciences, and to support the investment team’s decision-making. I would like to keep a sincere perspective and shed light on the seeds of future business.
