He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University and joined JAFCO in April 1986. After working in the Investment Planning Department, the Listed Company Department, Omiya Branch, and as the Head Office Investment Team Manager (names are from that time), he joined the Sales & Marketing Support Team in the current Business Development Division in 2004. In addition to supporting the growth of portfolio companies through customer development and capital-business alliances, he is also in charge of supporting large companies in open innovation, new business development, CVC establishment and operation, and fund investment.
For about 20 years, I have continuously supported the growth of portfolio companies in terms of customer development and capital-business alliances with large companies. As part of my support for portfolio companies, I am also focusing on expanding our network with major operating companies. Through these initiatives, I have proposed and supported the establishment of corporate venture capital, M&A, and capital and business alliances by operating companies, and have been deeply involved in open innovation and new business development at major operating companies.
