Business Development
Masato Kikuchi joined JAFCO in April 1993. He was engaged in investments in startups for more than 20 years in not just Tokyo but also the wider Kanto region, Hokkaido, and other areas. He focused on investment in the healthcare and SaaS fields. Since March 2020, he has been a member of the Sales & Marketing Support Team in the Business Development Division and has been engaged in supporting the growth of portfolio companies through alliances and capital partnerships with business firms.
I have invested in a number of startups and accompanied several companies through the process from listing to M&A. Currently, in the Business Development Department, I am taking on new initiatives that promote circulation within the startup ecosystem, such as startup M&A, roll-ups, and secondary deals. My hobby is rugby, and on weekends I refresh myself by chasing the oval ball.
