Masataka Kobayashi graduated from the Faculty of Business and Commerce at Keio University and joined JAFCO in April 2005. In the Investment Division, he is engaged in investment in many venture and medium-sized companies and was also involved with IPOs and trade sales. After being seconded to a securities company, he joined the Structured Investments Division in 2010. He is involved in a wide range of projects from large-scale buyout investments to venture buyout investments as well as various B2B, B2C, and B2B2C projects.
In accordance with JAFCO's Mission—“Commit to new business creation and jointly shape the future”—I would like to replace “new business creation” with “second start of companies” in buyout investments and take over companies/businesses created by entrepreneurs and founders to become a partner for further growth of companies.
