Ayuki Shirakawa joined JAFCO in April 2020 after graduating from the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo. He is in charge of sourcing portfolio companies, executing investments, and providing post-investment support for seed- and early-stage startups at the Investment Division. He executes investments in a variety of areas, including entertainment, content, commerce, SaaS, defense, security, sustainability, and cryptocurrency. He is responsible for JAFCO SEED, an event for seed-stage entrepreneurs.

Although I am relatively new to this work, what I've realized is the value of individuality and emotion. The more you pursue logic rationally, the more you end up with ordinary answers that reflect only the greatest common denominator. I believe that the true "α" exists in the determination and will of entrepreneurs and investment professionals that lie beyond rigorous logic. I want to invest while questioning what true value is and create memories that will remain in history.
