Ryukichi Miyabayashi joined JAFCO in 2022. His responsibilities include start-up investment in the Investment Division/ operation of the Entrepreneuers-in-Residence program (EIR).
Prior to joining JAFCO, he launched a VC firm specializing in IoT and DataTech fields. Before that, he was Senior Director of the R&D Division of Dentsu Inc., responsible for investment in/ business development mainly for Israeli technology companies. His investment exits include Kudan (IPO), G-NEXT (IPO), and Newscred（USA,M&A）.
Outside the company, he serves on the board of the Japan Marketing Society, acting as a bridge between practice and academia. He is also author of “Cross-Cultural Understanding as a Management Strategy” and “Marketing Practice Textbook.”
He has DBA(Doctor in Business Administration) from Hitotsubashi University and MBA from IESE Business School.
